The Yellow Jackets (3-0, 1-0 ACC) have made their way into the national rankings for the first time since 2015, following a thrilling 24-21 victory over then-No. 12 Clemson last week. As they prepare to host Temple at Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday, Georgia Tech aims to maintain their winning streak.
Quarterback Haynes King has yet to throw a touchdown this season, but he has found the end zone four times on the ground, leading all FBS quarterbacks with an impressive 129.5 rushing yards per game, despite missing a game due to injury.
On the other hand, Temple’s performance has been inconsistent; they scored 55 points against Howard but only managed a mere three points in their last outing against Oklahoma, where their defense allowed 42 points.
A win for Georgia Tech would mark their first 4-0 start since 2014 and extend their home winning streak to eight games, while a loss would be their first at home to an unranked opponent since 2023. While I believe Temple has more to offer than what they displayed against Oklahoma, I don’t think they can match Georgia Tech’s improved defense, which shone against Clemson.
My final prediction: Georgia Tech takes it over Temple, 31-17.
